Zye Pre-Trip Blog

My name is Zye and I am going to be an eighth grader. I have been in NPAC for about 2 years. The reason why I joined NPAC was because my cousin inspired me to join. During the past two years of being in NPAC there were a few ups and downs but I improved so much since the first time I joined.

The thing I’m most looking forward to doing in New York is all the Broadway shows and walking around Times Square because apparently people say that it is so beautiful to walk around and watch the screens. I’m mostly excited about “The Outsiders” because I recently watched the movie and it was really good. A really important thing I have on my bucket list is to stand on top of the Statue of Liberty. 

When going to New York I hope to learn how people experience Broadway. For example, is it challenging to achieve this? But I really think this trip can impact me as a performer and maybe even just as a person. I think it can impact me by going on Broadway. 

My goals for this trip is to learn about this city more and maybe learn about Broadway. I’m really excited to go to New York to learn and have fun. But I mostly feel amazing about representing my program NPAC in New York.
