My name is Heaven and I am a junior. I have been in NPAC for three years now and what inspired me to join NPAC was my friend that is in NPAC who performed in NPAC’s production “Beauty and the Beast.” She played the role of Belle and I was really interested in the way the students danced, how they sang, and how they acted. When I saw the show I was really fascinated and had chills because of how good the show was that I got the courage to join. Right now, my NPAC journey is really amazing because at first I didn’t know anyone besides one person and I was really shy and nervous about the way I act, dance, and sing but now I'm feeling way more confident in my performance and I have made lots of new friends in NPAC.

What I'm most looking forward to in New York is the 9/11 museum because I actually get to learn more about it but also to see what happened during that time, the food places because before leaving New York I want to try things that I won't be able to try again unless I come back to New York in the future, and lastly taking lots of pictures of all the places we go so that I will remember those moments.

I am really excited for the Broadway shows that we are watching because this is my first time in New York and my first time seeing broadway shows in person instead of online but I am also excited for the workshop we are going to do because I want to learn more about performing arts. I am also excited to go sight-seeing because It's New York and there's lots to see.

One bucket list moment that I hope happens on the trip is really just visiting the wax museum we are going to because I really want to take pictures with the marvel characters and any wax figures that I think look cool.

What I hope to learn or gain from this experience is just learn more about performing arts and what to expect when going for a performing arts career. I also hope that this experience will be one that I won't forget and will cherish those moments.

I feel like this trip will Impact my growth as a performer and as a person because as a first timer in New York and a beginner performer It will not only let me see things I haven’t seen before but It will also let me learn things I haven’t learned before.

I am very excited for this trip but even so I am a bit nervous because this is my first time flying without family and I am a very nervous person but even so I have friends and teachers I know. My goal for this trip is to just simply enjoy and learn because I might not be able to come back one day. A dream that I have for this trip is that I want to take pictures of me at all the spots we go sight seeing so I can always look back to when I went to New York for the first time.

Representing NPAC in New York is really important because lots of people donated so much money for this trip so that we students can not just go to New York but also learn more about performing arts. Not only this but representing NPAC in New York might get people interested in NPAC and even help with the auditorium that NPAC is trying to build.
