NPAC Students Going To Washington D.C. for Grammy Museum Workshop

AEG, a national entertainment company who now manages the Hawaii Convention Center, is sponsoring 5 students and a chaperone to attend the Grammy Museum "I'm Every Woman: Women in Soul" educational workshop in Washington D.C. on March 5 and 6.

This program is a part of the "In Performance at the White House" concert series and will be held in the White House and will feature an introduction by First Lady Michelle Obama, Grammy Museum Executive Driector Bob Santeli will host, and will feature some of the best musicans in the country talking about, and performing, soulful classics.

The event will also include a music performance workshop on soul music as well as time to do some touring of the sites in area.

NPAC students who will be participating are Bailey Barnes, Deja Ceruti, Danell Casuga, Daphnei Hussien, and Dorian Ingram-Tavares.

We are very grateful to AEG for sponsoring us and for giving all of us this once in a lifetime opportunity. Also, a big Mahalo to the Hawaii Community Foundation who reccommended NPAC when AEG went to them to ask which organization would benefit from this experience.
