The Nanakuli High and Intermediate School Performing Arts Center (NPAC) began in 1991 with eight diverse Nanakuli High and Intermediate School students performing various Broadway musicals and serious teen and adult issue plays on an outdoor courtyard stage and in a chorus room.  One cafeteria stage and 19 years later, the NPAC has touched the lives of hundreds of students’ island-wide.

The NPAC’s mission is to help students develop academic and performance skills as well as build self–confidence and self-esteem; that through the process of producing various dramatic and musical shows, students will learn practical and technical skills that can be applied in the real world.  The NPAC has also become a safe haven for many students who face various social issues in school and their home life.

We are asking you to help the NPAC continue their work in achieving these goals and hope that we can rely on your unwavering support.

This school year, the NPAC has experienced a series of budget cuts that will directly affect the selection and number of productions produced this season as well as the acquisition of needed equipment, supplies, costumes, and personnel.  Also affected are the opportunities for the students to experience various activities in the performing arts field.

And while the NPAC has received its annual allocation from the State, the amount has been reduced and school level funds are no longer available due to budget cuts.

Thus, with your help, we hope to raise enough funds to compensate for the loss of funding and to achieve all of the projected goals and activities that are planned for the year.
